Attention (Boston) Sports Fans

My son Scott’s soccer team (which as you can see is pretty good) is going to be playing in a number of tournaments outside the Boston area this year, and is doing a fundraiser to help defray the travel costs for some of his teammates.

Rather than sending one of those guilt-inducing emails asking my friends to ante up, thought maybe I’d do it this way. If you’re a Boston sports fan the prizes are actually quite good, as he explains below.

Hi Everyone, 

I am selling raffle tickets for my soccer team and am hoping that you would like to buy one (or more) and take a chance at winning one of the fabulous prizes. 
Each raffle ticket costs only $10.00. (Or you can buy 5 tickets for $45 or 10 tickets for $75.) The drawing is March 18, 2012. 
1st Prize is an ultimate sports pack including 2 tickets to the Bruins/REVS/Red Sox and Celtics
2nd Prize is 4 Tickets to the NE Patriots 2012 Opening Day
3rd Prize is 4 Tickets to a NE Revolution game
We are hoping to raise money to support some of our team members who need financial assistance. If you want to buy a ticket, please let me know and you can mail a check made out to me for the amount. I will mail you your ticket stub and fill in your information.
